Above is a Lannister victory through grabbing 7 castles without touching a single piece of greyjoy land. In the past, i managed to pull out a win by holding out a 10-round victory to win the tie-breakers but this time, i managed to grab 7 without attacking Greyjoy. It's not an easy victory to pull off but here's a couple caveats to note:
- Martell attack Tyrell early on. Tyrell managed to recover, but it made Tyrell wary of committing a full attack up north on Lanni
- GJ had a good trust factor, allowing Lanni to hit bara, and lanni didn't take empty castle in return
- no Mustering, meant that gj did not have the troops early on to win
- Bara threatening to raid tyrell, meant that tyrell didn't trust bara either (Tyrell wary of Martell-Bara alliance)
- Martell with the really strong tracks, meant tyrell was forced to play defense instead of support on west summer sea, plus tyrell had weak tracks due to playing on the defensive
- Lannister managed to alienated bara land army (total bara casualities: 4 knights, 1 footmen), in a game where there were minimal musters, that was quite signficant
In all, a difficult game that requires skillful navigation, but with the right amount of luck, yes a 7-castle victory for lannister is possible without attacking greyjoy nor compromising the position of your team
