Firstly I know nothing about IT or computers or would do this myself but similar to the opening order win rates I thought it'd be possible to data mine which castles each house holds in (professional, possibly even league/world Cup games only to put a skill filter on the results) 6p games won with 7 castles.

For example greyjoy might look like:

Pyke 100%
Seagard 95%
Flints finger 80%
Riverrun 60%
Winterfel 50%
Moat cailin 45%

And so on...basically to plot a course to each house's desired endgame by looking at which castles crop up most often in pro level 7 Castle wins.

I'd be most interested to see Tyrell's spread...I've had a hell of a time mapping out any sort of consistent route(s) to victory with them.

Hahahahahahaha tyrells spread would likely contain the most variance. I feel they have to be opportunists in the same way martell do yet their cards as you rightly say are the most potent in the game (ie have the greatest maximum potential - even if reaching that potential is easier said than done).

They really seem to be a 'sprint finish' house...

Martell has to be opportunistic, but there are still only two routes available to them; go up or go left.  I'd bet that you would see like 1% of Martell wins where they hold a castle that isn't part of Tyrell or Baratheon's home territories.  Like maybe there's one game in a few thousand where they nab Harrenhall when Web Of Lies comes up and they march first from CCP.

Tyrell, on the other hand, can go like 5 different ways, and sort of mix them together.  I'd guess their stats would show every castle but the Eyrie and maybe Dragonstone in play from time to time.

I just wanna say I once won a tied game by taking Lannisport as my 5th castle . Unrated game though, but will always remain in my memory as the craziest one for me.

Leaving that aside, it's true Martell is the most limited in options. at least until you incorporate the Mother of Dragons Expansion.

Does anyone know of any software we can use to run this analysis?

PMeisterGeneral and I are in a League game together where he's in Harrenhal as Martell in turn 9, just walked up there through Reach and Blackwater

Well this is more for the martell analysis thread but if you can't take wss or shipbreaker the only option is marching through the Boneway...time will tell if its a good move

The information you seek is hard to get from the replays or the logs alone.

To explain why, take this log e.g. https://game.thronemaster.net/?game=90001&show=log
To know which castle is occupied by which player at the end of the game, you'd need to track which unit moves to which castle thourough the game. That includes moving out of a castle without leaving a token. This information is not even present in the logs, e.g. in the link I sent it says only:
Stark marched out of The Eyrie - to Winterfell with 1 Siege Engine and 1 Knight. But not whether or not they left a token.

The other approach would be looking into the reviews: e.g. https://game.thronemaster.net/?game=90001&review=1
If you inspect the elements (rightclick -> inspect) you can see that the website does not contain information about in which castle every unit is, but instead only gives the absolute position.
So you'd need to write a function transferring the position information to a castle (so e.g. left: 140px; top: 785px == Pyke). That is certainly possible to do and to implement but it is some work.

The optimal way would be if the site owner would provide some kind of database to provide such information, so that people could use that to do more in-depth statistics and analyses.

An API already exists, as specified by JM here:

Not sure what you'll find in it, but if you have the skills and time, try with that.

I have implemented a python scraper for thronemaster.net that scrapes logfiles with BeautifulSoup and javascript content (reviews) with PyQt5. You are very welcome to look into or add on to this if you like.
If JM can provide an easier access to game data that would be the better way of course as scraping the info from websites is tedious..

From JMs message there it seems that only the following details are available from this xml endpoint:

-your running games ("My Games" list pendant)
- private messages (website, not ingame)
- players info (profile) from any co-player
- shoutbox entries
- users online list

At first glance this seems insufficient if one is interested in game data like occupied castles, order tokens etc.. @JM correct me if I am wrong.

I once tried scraping game data but the game logs alone don't provide all the info. For example a mustering might declare something like 'Baratheon mustered 2 ships from Dragonstone' or something like that but you don't know if they did 1 in port 1 in sea or 2 in sea.

To get around the lack of info, I tried making a python program with selenium to go to the 'review game' and try to fill in all the details by clicking next on each game action. If I remember correctly, you can at each step parse the hmtl to figure out where on the screen each token is and then figure which areas those locations correspond to. Unfortunately clicking the next button for each game action sometimes combines multiple actions at once like the last march + a muster. Trying to un-combine multiple actions at once seemed like too big of a pain so I gave up on project. Besides being a pain to figure out, going through each action of a game makes it very slow to gather information.
