Kicks are removed when you finish well games. JUstified or not, that's not you to tell but the judges - if you think it was not justified, report it.

Didn't know American's loved football, euhhh, soccer.

Rooting for Spurs as well, hate Chelsea.

For every sunrise there is a sunset. As the sun sets on Woolwich it rises in Tottenham

- all jesting aside, it is nice to see balance restored to the force

NBC gaining the broadcasting rights to the EPL really has driven a rise in viewership.

Also, in my city we have a really active supporters club with members living in London who provide us with email updates after games they attended and supporters trust meetings, etc.

Also, the different supporters clubs all share a pub where we watch matches. It has a great atmosphere of mutual respect and (mostly) gentle teasing.

But spurs always get the best turnout and yesterday we sang loudly and proudly!

Chelsea will rpobably hold on and finish top of the table but one must still have hope...as rebellions are built on it...or something.

*insert random "but the last 20 years" comment here*

To be honest, Arsenal played like sh.t pretty much all year long, and Spurs really deserved to be ahead this season.

Haha, used to like Arsenal (not really a favourite in England, just a fan of the style of play, Ajax supporter here ) when Bergkamp, Overmars and Henry played but lately it's real shitty. Imo Wenger needs to go. Don't get me wrong, he's a hero overthere but he lost his magic touch. And all in all, he didn't win as many prizes as you would hope for being Arsenal.

@Ours
Nice to hear, thought it was really dead in US allthough it's more popular than 10 years ago, most think it's s pussy sport right?

Lord Hightower - Well said. I am just excited that Spurs are finally having some success. I think their overall progression is really exciting and am glad that I have a chance to watch and be a part of it in a small way.

Lannie - No wonder you prefer Spurs, with 3 former Ajax players it makes sense that you would support us

If you would have seen the pub (yes it's a proper pub) we watch games at - you would realize there is a good audience for the sport. It is fun to watch people come in for brunch and not realize what they walked into.

While there is a large segment of people who just don't understand the sport its popularity is rising. Personally, I just think that it is such a change of pace for typical American sports fans that they don't understand it. Which is weird because they understand football and it's 8 million rules and stoppages...

The real problem is that America's best athletes play football or basketball. If we had our best athletes committing their professional development to soccer (and had the requisite development programs that typically accompanies that kind of quality) I have no doubt that the U.S. would seriously dominate the sport (we just have too many people to draw from). That is not meant to take away from the level of tacit knowledge the rest of the world has about the sport.

Long story short - COYS

Good idea Hightower! We will probably reach the final, seen us sweep the floor with Lyon yesterday?!

Ours, you're damn right, my favourite player when he played for Ajax is your best one at the moment, check out link below and enjoy;

I am cheering for Borussia Dortmund and allegedly they got close to signing Eriksen before he chose Tottenham - would have loved to see him on our squad. I was happy to see Ajax kicking out Schalke though ;P Go ahead and claim that trophy!

@Ours: We do have a very (one of the most?) promising US player in our ranks - Christian Pulisic is really shining this season and only just 18 years old.

He's brilliant but sadly for you guys probably heading for Barcelona, they really need a player like him to follow up Iniesta and he's ready for that step.

Good player indeed Obmit but what about Dembele, imo he could be best player there is in about 3-5 years?!

yeah Dembele is even better - wizard of ous hope he stays with us for atleast 2 more years (on a 5 year contract right now, but he is already getting that much attention...) . With him, pulisic, emre mor and alexander isak dortmund signed 4 high potential offensive players under 20 - watch out for them in the upcoming years.

If this happens I will hunt you down!

Obmit: several observations:
1. at 1:27, that run was nice and aggressive. 2:09, another great run.

2. The run and cross at 4:56 is lovely. Figures aubameyang goes for the bicycle kick. Glad the ball found the back of the net anyways.

3. I really like the aggressiveness on the runs but he needs to finish! Both in terms of strikes, and passes.

4. Looks awesome though! Can't wait to watch him in international games!

Great skills, Pulisic. Reminds me a bit of my hero, Messi. Let me be clear, noone comes close to him but his rushes combined with oversight and swift touches from left to right reminds me of him, he'll clearly make it.

Another great player btw, Auba, where you think he'll go? I think he's going to Madrid but also heard he signed a pre-contract in Paris, you know something about that? He'll be the best striker on the planet in a couple of years as well. So fast and great technique, a deadly combo which you don't see too often.

If this happens I will hunt you down!
Haha, better start hunting cause i'd bet money on him barca will come for him, he already learned how to play in the Barca style in Amsterdam
