The timestamp for Jaime potentially dual-wielding is: 1:01.

That looks to me much more like Brienne of Tarth's figure, with the armor shoulder pads she's been wearing since Jaime gave it to her.

I hope they bring my enthusiasm back with this last season, because the last one almost killed my will to finish the show

So, Tyrion made me smile again, which was nice. Also I loved the dragons but who doesn't I guess. Also loved the Euron/Cersei part even though she's a bitch and he's an asshole. Also loved the Jaime-Bran encounter, he'll have his revenge for sure in the end I think. Only thing I disliked was Jon who had to explain himself in WF again, get over it and get to the fight already. And offcourse it was great Tarly told him the truth, curious how that will end up, with Jon and Dany. What you guys think?

Actually I disliked Tyrions parts. His jokes are continuing to be as bad as since season 6. "hahaha you are a eunuch/are old"
Thats not witty or anything like it.
Loved Jaime and Bran and how Jaimes hair is getting darker and darker from season to season^^

Was I the only one who thought that the way Sam told Jon his parentage was very strange. I mean, we get what he's saying but this would have been so far out of what Jon had ever thought.
Also, saying first that his mother was Lyanna Stark, without haven mentioned the idea that Ned Stark was his father, probably had him thinking incest in that little pause so much that he couldn't even start putting together the pieces that Daenerys was his aunt.

I get that Sam was distraught after hearing his baby brother was executed for no good reason, but why blurt it out like a guy who's been living in conspiracy theory forums for months without human contact.

Otherwise, good episode easing us into what will undoubtedly be a brutal season.

Btw, for spoiler commands. Shouldn't we be fine without them on page 2 onwards?

For me, the episode rated on grade mnjaah+
I get it, there has been a lot of loved character combos (Arya/Hound, Arya/Gendry, Tyrion/Bronn/Jaime for example) and the creators want to please fans. Just use them for something more. Now all the get togethers were basically just like "Hi, nice to see you. Cunt. Hahaa. Bye."

I heard that the show was shown in movie theaters in more bigger countries, so I can see why Dany and Jon riding dragons scene were added. Otherways it was completely pointless. I would like to have seen Jon reacting completely different to Dany using almost exactly the same words than Ygritte did back in the cave beyond the Wall.

I really hated the part where Theon saved Asha. In previous season I was totally frustrated when Euron just popped up out of nowhere to the middle of the sea and ambushed Greyjoy fleet. Come on, you are the masters of the sea, how did that happen?! Don't you have scouts or anything?
And now the exactly same happened to Euron. Please.

I am interested by to pattern to which that ‘Omber-boy’ got spiked up.
It is the exact same pattern that is shown in S01E01. It is obviously connected to the night king, but I haven’t seen it explained yet.
Or did I miss something?

I liked the first two episodes so far. They kind of made me fall in love with the TV show again, after that awful last season. They were quite slow (though we had a lot of intense moments) but you could feel the tension for the imminent battle behind every scene.

I don't know how I'll resist without seeing the the next episode: I can't really think about anything else. I never watched any leaked episode, but this time I literally prayed for the third episode to be leaked. I really need to watch it before sunday.

Apart from a few weaknesses I really liked E1 and E2, but

I just feel like the first 2 episodes were almsot completely pointless. Yes, a few things happened but most of it was pure cringe:

Yes, the publicum loves it when old characters meet again and i liked it too when the crossing of characters happened before.
But having to witness this like 10 times per period was way over the top.

About the story itself, im still not convinced at all. S7 was already very bsd with this (having armies pop out of nowhere on the other end of the continent and so on) and now everything leads very slowly up to Winterfell and i just cant see a proper reason for this.

The first two episodes prepare the field of things to come. Maybe it didn't happen to much, but the characters, their changes and conflicts can be shown once more to bring everything into focus:

What I did like:
-) Daenerys vs. Sansa: that's not a bitch fight, but greatly conflicting standpoints
-) Jon & Arya interaction
-) Arya & Sansa relation (after the ridiculous Littlefinger intrigue of S7)
-) Jamies character growth (see Bran, Brienne, Cersei)
-) Briennes knighting
-) alienated feeling of Grey Worm and Missandei in the North
-) Dolorous Edd - everything
-) Tormunds crush on Brienne and that he seems to value her as a person more than most Southerners do
-) Davos' “vision“ of Shireen
-) the no future feeling of E2
-) the horrified/disgusted look of Cersei before and after she slept with Euron and my hope that she still is the scheming b*** we all know and will let Euron suffer horribly for it
-) Qyburn realizing that he serves a person (Cersei) even more reckless and immoral than himself

What I did not like:
-) show-off scene with Jon flying on Rhaegal (apart from the images)
-) Varys's and part of Tyrions lines - not smart or witty at all
-) actor choice for Harry Strickland (but he might convince me otherwise)
-) pro forma scene with Ghost just standing, where you see that it is a normal wolf enlargend by cgi
