No I didn’t but heard it will be available on Steam this year as well, or is steam just the platform Asmodee will bring it to?

They can do what they want, they won’t get a lovely community like ours.

Hmm, there's going to be a campaign mode of some sort? That sounds interesting. Guess I will be buying that
That being said, I will never leave this community, or stop playing here. This is a great platform with great people who I enjoy playing with.

Curious how that campaign mode plays out too indeed, depending on the cost I will probably give it a go.

Luckily, Asmodees games are usually affordable; Scythe, Gloomhaven and Terraforming Mars are around 20€.

You play Gloomhaven? 25 euro's indeed.

Love it. My group plays on board and now we're waiting on the online multiplayer to release but playing the campaign myself already, very nice game. Love it you can play it with 2 as well, often quite hard to get enough to play a good boardgame, like GOT for example. We're becoming faster with setting it up and using the gloomhaven helper and scenario app so now we even get to play 2 levels on evenings outside of the weekends.

Unfortunately not, my friend does own the physical game, but we also do have problem to get enough players. Especially to have same guys every time to start a campaign with. I also have Scythe campaign waiting to be started. And other friend bought Journey to Middle Earth, so the queue is pretty long

edit: But you do like the digital Gloomhaven? I've looked over it, but it did seem little odd to me.

@ Beornegar; Didnt see your edit but am playing it but it’s getting boring, waiting on the multiplayer and the campaign mode! That will be great, brilliant game.

Bran likes it too I see, you only play on the board or also virtual? And if it’s consuming all your time, you must have a solid gaming group that gathers often then?

Yeah we have beaten the main campaign and are 2 missions into Forgotten circles. On my own, I'm nearly done with forgotten circles. I've played every class in my solo game, beaten every solo scenario...its a bit much.

I've given the digital version a go but honestly it's just missing something. I don't know why they didn't just go for more a board game aesthetic. I'm withholding my judgment until I see the campaign but...artistically and gameplay wise it just doesn't hit the same sweet spot for me.

I picked it up last January I think? We had been playing every week or two, 2 scenarios a session. Then my kiddo was born, so we slowed way down. But I have it set up in my basement all the time. I'll run downstairs and play a round or two for 10, 15 minutes, then come back to it later. I've invested a LOT of time in it, but also it kind of replaced video games for me.

If only I had that space but also maybe better I don’t

Will try the solo soon though, with how many characters you’re playing every time?

I think 3 is the magic number for both solo and group play. 4 players can be cumbersome alone, and it feels like they just throw too much at you
Two is good to start for solo, but three is where you get that sort of tactical comboing going on.

If you don't want to wait for Asmodees version and want to play with wildlings now there is a new open source project running which also will add vassals and all other MoD features. PM me for details or if I am allowed to I would paste the link here too.

No problem Gereon, I’m interested too. We will never get that overhere, sadly.
