I have a question.  Can a ship attack land?  Can it occupy an area that connects to the sea?

Hello Michael,

no, ships are not allowed to attack land areas!
But they can support land battles if the ship's area is adjacent to the area of the battle (support order required).
Ships can only attack other ships + support/raid sea and land areas. you can also 'use' ship units to connect remote land areas. This way your land units can attack areas which are not directly attached to their current arrea.

And take care of ports. Ships in ports cant support land-battles. They only support the sea.
