Hello there people!! It is the time of the year where I invite you all to do something different than GOT!!
BoardGameGeek has launched the 2024 RPGGeek New Player Initiative.
This initiative is an introduction to Role-playing games played by forum. (Very similar to the PBEM mode we do here).
If you don't know what an RPG is:

The selection of games available is wide and contains all sorts of genres: High Fantasy with Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder and Hardcore DCC, Sci-Fi, Mistery, Fun & Dumb, Pokemon... There's even one where you are a monster running away from heroes.
There's like 30 different games in total you can choose from!
I started playing in 2023, and to be honest it's so wholesome and relaxed while still entertaining that few to few I'm leaving GOT behind to play this....
The community is really nice and lively and despite being Played by Forum and having to write, most of the games move forward on a daily basis. Of course games are a bit slower than in real life, but there are a lot of different things around there: Some games last for more than a year, and some are quick and fast paced can finish in some week or a few months.
In terms of Settings, you have a lot to choose from: Fantasy, Science Fiction, SuperHeroes, Romance, Dinosaurs, Pirates, Funny ones... there's even a game based on Football!
I hope I do see someone around in there, and if you don't maybe come check out some of the stories!
