i have sat in the lobby for 4 hours with any games opening being rated 3 player games that fill up very quickly and i still need 1 more unrated game to have the ability to join. i think we are in need of more MoTs because of the speed with which games fill up.

You don't need to wait in the lobby. There is an option on the Account -> My Profile page, where you can specify whether or not to get notification emails when new games are created. That is the fastest way for non-MoTs to get into more games.

Let me, humbly, add to Duesterwald's reply;

1) If you can make do with PBEM games and don't insist on playing live (and vice versa) - you can easily get MoTs to create you an unrated game. I, personally, very rarely create live games since I don't have the time for them. But I often fulfill requests made in the shout box (and via PM for that matter).

2) What time zone are you in? To me experience, there is a game created every 10-20 minutes or so. The problem might be that not enough unrated games are created though? (that's a two-pronged question I suppose) <- I, for this reason, have lately swapped back to creating 1 unrated each time I create a rated for the reason you just mentioned. Maybe THAT's the issue, not the number of MoTs - but the MoTs primarily hosting beginner's and rated games?
