What do YOU think are the most balanced settings for a 6p game, on this site?

I like to use 2nd ed settings, but with 1st ed house cards, and 1st ed orders (special cp doesnt muster, raid +1 can raid 2 things but not defense).

I find the gj 2nd ed cards to be a bit OP, and consolidate muster would be bad for gj without his op cards.

Also, consolidate muster overloads the map with men, and the consequences of getting men killed are less under this option.

Curious what everyone thinks.

So you basically want a 1st-Edition-setting?

You have to add EMP to that and oou are gucci for a nice game.

EMP? Everything but house cards and orders are 2nd ed (gj starting position,  knight limit, westeros cards, etc.)

oh equal muster points. I dont find that necessary. Gj is nerfed by the start position, and bara is nerfed by martell existing

Oh, then you didnt have played a lot of 1st-Edition-games.

Having EMP is absolutel crucial for the Lannister/GJ-balance. If ou dont downgrade GJs knight, he can freely take Riverrun in round 1 and then proceed to stomp Lannister.

And if you dont believe me, feel free to check the stats:

Without EMP, Lannister has a winrate of 7,8% and Greyjoy of 31%
With EMP, this equals out to 14,5% and 19%, with only Stark standing out.

i have played hundreds of 1st ed games. if lanni plays support +1  in the sept, marches a knight into the sept and a foot into rr (defense +2 in sea, change to raid if gj supports from ironmans), gj can only take rr if he marches all three of his men into rr and uses the blade & balon/victarion. which is a bad move considering stark will be bearing down on seaguard/ greywater, and gj forgoes flints and seaguard, so limited muster available if he goes down that path.

maybe emp would be okay if it didnt impact bara. the only real way to balance the game would be to downgrade gj knight, and include house arryn in the vale.

As it stands stark is to powerful. if gj gets nerfed, its harder for them to assault stark. it is also hard for bara to assault stark with martell breathing down his neck, as taking over baratheon is the best way to win as martell.

perhaps it is time for us experienced players to develop our own seven player game, test it via play by forum, and then maybe one day it gets coded into the site as an option.

we must be the solution!
