Are there any limitations to join games? Why can't I join any more games?
Often new players join a game and leave the site. Therefore we have some limitations in order to ensure the quality of games and players.
For example: to prevent spoiled rated games new members are not allowed to join those games.
Also, there is a maximum of games a user can play at the same time. This has several reasons, the two major ones are: First, users should be eager to finish or abort their games in time. No one likes lingering games. Second, if a user decides to leave this site or is banned there won't be too many games that cannot be finished.

Here is a short list of limitations for standard users:
- you need 5 finished unrated games to be able to join rated games
- you can only play 1 LIVE game at the same time
- initially, you can join up to 10 games (LIVE & PBEM)
- for each game you finish, your limit is increased by +1 up to a maximum of 35
- each kick lowers your limit by -5, with a minimum of two games

Also, if you get kicked now you will directly get an automated sanction:
-  1st kick: removing join rights for 12 hours
-  2nd kick: removal of join rights for 2 days
-  3rd kick: removing of join rights for 1 week
-  4th kick: removing of join rights for 2 weeks
-  5th kick or more: removal of join rights for 4 weeks

NOTE:
These limitations may vary from player to player or might be changed any time we see fit.

Is it my turn?
Please explain the MY GAMES -> Next Player column!
Normally your name is listed in the Next Player column when it's your turn. However there are two states you have to distinguish:

1. Name is orange colored -> The game is waiting for your turn!
2. Just your name (white) -> You are able to change your move (for example: orders, house cards, bids) / waiting for others.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Battle results is calculated by the client. That's why the server cannot tell which player lost a battle. The data is not available at that point. It's a design flaw.
So both players (attacker and defender) will see their name orange under My Games, but only the loser can move/proceed!

What is the meaning of the different colors in the online list?
Here is a legend:
Site Administrator
Site Moderator (not equal with MoT!)
Judge handling player reports
Helper rank or Site Donor
Standard User

Note: Players with MoT rights have no special color.

Why do I have to confirm withdrawals manually when choosing withdraw areas isn't possible? Some player actions are resolved automatically. Why is this not possible for withdrawals?
The House Cards are only implemented on client side (JS).
That's why the server is not able to calculate who wins and who loses in battles.

The initial version from 2007 was developed only for LIVE games. PBEM mode didn't exist or was even planned. At that point this information was not crucial to the game play.

This legacy problem is a design failure which is not easily fixable.

I was kicked in a game. How can I get rid of kicks from my profile stats?
Once 8 weeks pass from your last kick, your kick counter decreases automatically for every 15 games you finish in a row. If you got another kick in the process you need to start over.

I was kicked from a game for unjustified reasons. What can I do?
Please file a new player report here and explain the situation. In this case it is not important which player you select for the report. Your kick gets removed from your stats if one of our Judges can confirm you are right. Also games and players can be reactivated/-instated.

When does an abandoned LIVE game automatically turn to PBEM?
If players leave a LIVE game, it will turn to PBEM automatically if:
- the game has been running for at least 30 minutes
- more than 5 minutes have passed from the last in-game action
- no more than 1 player is online in the game

If players cannot turn a LIVE game PBEM (Play By E-Mail) because the host has left, or the game is hostless, they should just all go offline and the game will turn to pbem automatically once the above conditions are met.

You probably mean round, not turn. There's a difference.

Which turn order is correct after Doran's ability was used on the Iron Throne track?
The turn order is defined by the track position and not the house order. So it might occur that a players's turn is skipped and resolved later.
This special rule issue was thoroughly discussed and directly cleared by FFG eventually.
