If Doran is used to steal the Valyrian Steel Blade, can the player who stole the blade use it this turn, assuming it has already been used by the player it was stolen from?

I dont know how it is implemented here (JM might know it) but i dont think that its possible.

Is there a way to make certain before I attack? Or do I just attack and risk losing...?

Whats the ID of the game?

You can see if you can use the blade when looking at the blade at the fiefdom track ( open another game where the blade is still unused and compare).

When used, it will get grey.

Great advice! Sadly, though, not in my favour

The sword was grey and can't be used in these cirumstances...

The sword can only be use once per game round. It does not matter if the owner has changed or not.
