It wont pay off unless there are 2 game of thrones before you return there. In the meantime, you have a decent chance of having 1 fewer tokens for the next clash.

Usually you actually don't leave a token as Lannister, it"s a territory you want your support to be on.

Except if you have to leave AND expect it can be used as a retreat place.

Almost always new and inexperienced (or bad) players do it in my experience. I think you never should do that unless you indeed don't want other players to retreat to is, in the sense of tactic.

I guess that with the new tiebreaker where controlled land areas matter, there could be a situation where leaving a token would be smart.
