Hello,

I have question regarding one wildling card.
For horde descent it is stated that lowest bidder must destroy 2 units in stronghold or castle. I chose Martell who had just 4 ships and only land unit, a horse in Sunspear. So I expected that unit in sunspear must be destroyed. But Martell chose two ships. My question is, is it bug, or this feature has not been implemented or I have misunderstood the rule.

I think the rule is (from memory and in very short) :
- If you can remove 2 units in stronghold/castle, you have to.
- If not, you must remove 2 units anywhere.

The second case is easy to deal with if there are 0 unit in Strongholds or Castles, they 2 should be removed anywhere.

But it is not precise in the case where there is only 1 unit in SHs and Cs. The spirit of the rule is "remove the unit in SH or C, then a second where you want". But the wording, strictly taken, can also lead to "you can't destroy 2, take them anywhere".

So... the rule is unclear and its implementation follows the strict wording of it (and I don't remember having seen a FAQ here, but I haven't checked for a long time). Good or bad, dunno.

The FAQ states:
Q: When resolving the penalty on “The Horde Descends”
Westeros card, can the two units that the lowest bidder must
destroy be from different areas?
A: No. All units that are destroyed must come from one
area with a castle/stronghold.

As this wasn't possible, Martell can destroy them anywhere.
How i know this? I made the same decision as you once and was surprised afterwards.
