Topic: A Dance with Dragons - PBF sign up thread

Ladies and gentlemen,

after months and months and still months of hesitation, failures and many other things, I'm proud to announce that I can finally host a game with the A Dance with Dragons variant, for five lucky players and me!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Following the advice in this thread, we can play with this map:

https://tinyurl.com/Mxl2VU4RJYsZW8ndgTz3

I will update the map every few moves, so that we can easily follow the game. I have to say that it's not the best map of all times (orders are set right on the armies, routed units have a black circle under them, it may be a little uncomfortable from phone) but it's all we've got and it's very simple to use, so... Thank you, dave42 for creating it!

WHAT IS THE "A DANCE WITH DRAGONS" VARIANT?
This is the second offical expasion for the second edition of A Game of Thrones - The Board Game and it brings into the field the events of the fifth book of Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. Watch out for spoilers if you have been living in a cave for the last years!

As you can see from the link I pasted above, there are several differences:

1) Completely new starting positions, which will make the game more interesting even for old players;

2) New House Cards, with unseen text abilities (click on the dark bar on the top of the map and then on the House names to see the new cards);

3) A shorter game, only lasting 6 rounds instead of 10.

WHAT'S THE POINT OF THIS THREAD?
Sign up down here, we may also use it for the next games!

For this first game I already have some players in list. I've been talking about it for months, so... For the moment this is the "game lobby":

1) Merlo Piccante
2) Lannie85
3) Haremheb
4) Harakon
5) popella89
6) OursistheFury

Please, Lannie, Harakon and Haremheb, confirm your presence. As in every PBF game, the free spots are for fast (or better) players, with a long membership on Thronemaster... Let's say a year? Come on, guys, we're waiting!

Random houses?

Sure, random houses: I can randomly choose them, if you trust me (or we can ask to another player). Anyway if you can find a good way to make everyone happy and choose which House to play, it's good for me!

My only concern is that I really don't know how can we handle a game with all our signatures already taken by other PBF games, but we'll found a way.

You're confirmed, sir!

Confirming
Since I got the expansion myself at home, but we only played once, I would like to play every house but Greyjoy. That one I had already^^

For the lasting of membership: Some of the new players which signed up for my pbef, which had been rejected at start, now fill the gabs longer members left behind

Only the official aDwD variant. I don't like the objective one that much, even if I didn't tried it yet. Anyway it's too much for a first game, I could easily forget something!

Very good. A spot is still free, in case El_Diablo doesn't want to join the party!

Anyway, since El_Diablo didn't answer to my message I assume he doesn't want to play.

popella89 is our sixth player and Lord Hightower will help us with Wildling cards. Many thanks Lord Hightower!

The game will start in the next minutes/hours. Just let me put it up!

I'm glad to host a second game, for those who wish to play with the A Dance with Dragons variant. Fast players at least, so it won't last forever!

I'm not going to play also in this one, but, since many players would like to try this version out, I want to realize their dream. Just be patient with the updating of the game map, please.

Write your registrations in this thread and I'll update the following list:

1) BranTheBaker
2) Gwayr
3) AllMenMustDie96
4) Carl.hollinger
5) Winterman
6) Descartes89

Confirming! But also, Merlo, you didn't have to run another one, I was totally content to wait!
