Yea but if GJ goes first, and Stark has a star order, then that means stark goes last. Stark can counter by supporting Winterfell with a siege from White Harbor and will end up holding WF on last march going in to next round
Easier said than done.  Stark needs musters to create siege engines, and overall, more musters benefit GJ more than Stark, as Stark has an easier time with both keeping its units alive when it loses and killing enemies when it wins. Without multiple musters, GJ can find itself winning more battles than it loses and still falling behind on overall units. Related to that, Stark doesn't really want to spend muster points on sieges, since they are the one unit that does not benefit from the defensive firewall of Rodrick/Blackfish.

There's also more of a tradeoff when Greyjoy gets to act first, because it means they get to raid Winterfell or Castle Black every turn, rather than Stark getting to raid Stoney and/or Bay of Ice each time.

Overall, letting a siege engine park in Stoney means that the battle for Winterfell is a stalemate at best.  And you want your capital to be safer than that.

I agree with Ser Hodor.

Moreover, if you have enough tokens to have star orders, you are well off anyways. The real problem is an early or too many clashes with constant pressure from Greyjoy, so you can't farm enough pts. In such a case it might be better to neglect the court, because it is too expensive and concentrate on IT and fiefdoms. (i.e. going first and raiding/killing the most dangerous threats, begor greyjoy can act)

Discovered a really nice use for Robb, you can choke off someone's chain marches by sending the routed units to the location of the final march (usually the +1), and it blocks the supply and sets the attacker back a round. Which can almost be as good as killing the units, since stark needs to buy time to scale up

Yup, supply blocking the opponent with Robb (on any place) is one of the various fun uses of Robb. Definitely not one of the best 3 cards, but clearly a fun one !

We had a ranking thread a few years ago and as most players I would give Loras the first place in strength 3 cards.

Moreover, I would rank Renly above of Areo. Normally they are both effectively blank strength 3 cards, but Renly has some very rare tactical uses. Whereas I can't remember that I ever used Areos tower. If you lose with Areo against a card with swords from Tyrell or Bara - which is usually strength 1 or 2 (with the exception of Super-Davos) - I think you did something wrong.

Yeah, I think I put Loras as the best card in the game, of any rank.

You will see players be even more agressiv against stark in the future. In a three player game, I see a Lannister and Bara rush on stark very often. And Why shouldnt you. Both can get easy land and can push the ships Up north. Stark cant hold them off

In 3p, Stark has the blade and two stars at the beginning, not bad. Stark is vulnerable when there is an early clash without mustering, but if they have a little time for build-up, the Starks are not easily conquered at all.

Yes but as stark you will always have to split your ships and run vs 6 ships on both sides.Thats deadly in the mid and endgame
