Given the specific reference in the rulebook, I do not consider Mace's kill to be a "casualty"; I am referencing part 5 on page 20 of the rules.

Point 5 only clarifies the meaning of initial combat Strength. What you should have in mind: The texts are there for a reason. Mace is the only card which destroys units through his housecard ability. If Blackfish would not be able to counter it, why write it on the card? Tides of Battle and Sword Icons would have been enough.

Well the first one is over a page saying that Blackfish is countering Mace?
Just as the 2nd....
The 3rd ist just bringing up the argument that casualties as defined by the rules are after the combat.

But my argumentation from "our" thread remains: If Mace was out of question, just give Blackfish 3 Towers and you dont have that problem...so why explicitly write it on the card that he counters text abilities who make casualties

Ok, if that was the doubt from Deranger, i agree with Harakon opinion, Blackfish has direct effect on Mace text ability, so it makes sense no footman is killed.

But i agree with any decision you take Bukavu! With some help from us you might take decisons more accurately

The Blackfish card reads: "You do not take casualties... from house card abilities...."
Clearly this means mace's ability is included.

Am i able to change my capital/family name or is it futile, bad for gameplay and wasted time? Do not know how this will work graphically when we start playing
